Some may remember at last years Agricultural Show that the Montessori School held there inaugural "Cow Pat Lotto" fundraiser. It was quite a success, and attracted a lot of attention of show goers. Essentailly a cow, and her calf as it were last year, were released into a pen that had a grid of 1m2 squares with ticket numbers randomly allocated on a master sheet for fairness. The first square that "Loosey" plopped on was teh winning square and the corresponding number was the winning ticket.
So the event is running again at this years show, for a 1 in 600 chance to win $8000 - tickets are $30 each (people are welcome to "halves" with friends) or $5 to be a part of a syndicate (6 people to a ticket for a winning share of $1333). The "draw" takes place at 3.30pm 22nd October on the oval.
Tickets are available through the Montessori School (Clarke Rd), Mitre 10 and Price Attack. The P&F will also have a stall outside IGA on Thursday 20th October as well as at the Show Saturday 22nd Oct. Funds raised will be going towards new playground equipment.
